New Semester...

Well, another semester has begun. Needed some pictures for class tomorrow, so I drove around this morning looking for some options. I think I have a few to work with now, and thought I'd share these.

This was an old boat sitting on the side of the road...I just liked how it looked so out of place with the weeds growing up in it.

This one I went back to get...I passed it the first time and though...OOH. Something about the way the light was bouncing off the water and the solar flare...my favorite shot of the morning.

And then I found these guys sitting down at the boat dock...the sun wasn't quite hitting this part of the lake yet but I still liked the reflections and the repetitiveness of the birds. 

And finally, a morning grooming. Yum.

Recent Sessions

So I've been covered up in sessions here recently and I figured I should drop by here and update at least a few photos instead of falling off the planet from busy-ness.

Portfolio Show

Well, life as a photography student is incredibly busy….being a student, AND photographer, AND mom, AND wife, AND housekeeper….among many other things….is incredibly tough.

Not complaining though…it’s all good. And now that my book is ready for the portfolio show, I’m getting quite psyched. LOL.

So this outdoor wedding….was rained out and turned into an indoor event (which is so not my favorite thing to do) but I think we still managed to get some pretty decent pics. This first set is the “details” and “décor”

LOL…I have quite a few more, but mostly just variations in processing, and these are the ones I really liked.  Now I just have to put them all on cd for my friends.  =)

Backyard Wildlife

I found this little guy in the backyard the other day.  Box turtle I think.  I put him in an old parmesan cheese bottle till the kids came home from school to see him, and then we let him go.  He was TINY!  He was also very ready to leave when I opened the lid and let him out outside.  LOL

Then today, there were five deer out there.  Of course, I had to take pictures.
