The finish line is in sight! This is the final semester to my degree in Photographic Technology.

This is the semester when everything gets's going to be a lot of work, but totally worth it. I'll probably be around quite a bit over the next couple of months since an online presence is on the project list for this last semester. I've been working on getting a gallery set up and will need to start linking everything together next.

Portfolio is a lot of work, but we have a lot of class time assigned to do the work, so I'm hopeful that I'll get it all accomplished on time.

I worked on some ideas today and used my available resources. LOL.

These are just to get a feel for what direction I want to go with this project. I don't know for sure that I'll continue in this direction, but I love how this shows my kids' individual personalities...right now.

They are getting too big. It's sad. And amazing at the same time.

To be continued....

Wrapping It Up!

Goodness….where has the last year gone? I’ve been so busy I haven’t had time to post anything. Rather than playing catch up, we’ll just go from here.
I’m wrapping up my next to last semester and here is one recent project that I loved!
The outfit had to be 50% created by yours truly, and required crazy makeup. Check and Check. Totally fun though and my little model LOVED it.

New Semester...

Well, another semester has begun. Needed some pictures for class tomorrow, so I drove around this morning looking for some options. I think I have a few to work with now, and thought I'd share these.

This was an old boat sitting on the side of the road...I just liked how it looked so out of place with the weeds growing up in it.

This one I went back to get...I passed it the first time and though...OOH. Something about the way the light was bouncing off the water and the solar favorite shot of the morning.

And then I found these guys sitting down at the boat dock...the sun wasn't quite hitting this part of the lake yet but I still liked the reflections and the repetitiveness of the birds.

And finally, a morning grooming. Yum.

That's it for today. Thanks for dropping by.

Recent Sessions

So I've been covered up in sessions here recently and I figured I should drop by here and update at least a few photos instead of falling off the planet from busy-ness.

Portfolio Show

Well, life as a photography student is incredibly busy….being a student, AND photographer, AND mom, AND wife, AND housekeeper….among many other things….is incredibly tough.

Not complaining though…it’s all good. And now that my book is ready for the portfolio show, I’m getting quite psyched. LOL.

So it won't let me post a preview here for some reason, but here's the link:

Wedding Pics (the details)

So this outdoor wedding….was rained out and turned into an indoor event (which is so not my favorite thing to do) but I think we still managed to get some pretty decent pics. This first set is the “details” and “d├ęcor”

Backyard Wildlife

I found this little guy in the backyard the other day.  Box turtle I think.  I put him in an old parmesan cheese bottle till the kids came home from school to see him, and then we let him go.  He was TINY!  IMG_0726ewebHe was also very ready to leave when I opened the lid and let him out outside.  LOLIMG_0739eweb

Then today, there were five deer out there.  Of course, I had to take pictures.
